Transformative Power of Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the miracle by which we master and restore ourselves…Then how are we to practice mindfulness? My answer is: keep your attention focused on the work, be alert to handle ably and intelligently and situation, which may arise ~ this is mindfulness. Mindfulness is the miracle which can call back in a flash our dispersed mind and restore it to wholeness so that we can live each minute of life ~ Thich Nhat Hanh


Mind. Body. Spirit process of learning to make sustainable habit changes is founded on the transformative power of Mindfulness. The key to the 8 principles of habit change ~ Intuitiveness. Nutrition. Exercise. Sleep. Learning. Relationships. Simplicity. Spirituality is Mindfulness; each principle must be a practice.

Practicing mindfulness is purposely paying attention to the present moment. When you are purposely changing a habit area, you must focus on your thoughts, feelings, images and sensations, all without judgment which can be difficult to master due to years of negative self-talk and lack of self-acceptance.

Learning to be mindful of our thoughts and actions raises our conscious awareness and gains insight into our behaviors. When you begins to practice mindfulness you learn to develop a path of self-discovery and you begin to be open to possibilities for choices that affect your health, vitality, and well-being. By learning to understand ourselves, we can change our habits and transform our lives.

As we begin next week to work through the first principle Intuitiveness we will be including a 15 to 20 minute video, a guided mediation to help you develop a mediation practice and focus on your health goals. Research shows that consistently mediating, even for just 5 to 10 minutes daily has a profound and positive effect on physical, emotional and spiritual health.
